While watching TWiT (This Week in Tech) on the AppleTV I overheard continued discussion about its use. I finally took the time to download it and I must say it’s a great way to organize your “social” life.
While Tweetdeck displays Twitter, Facebook, and Buzz posts, Seesmic can display those, and many more social platforms in an easy to read format.
I’ve been using Tweetdeck for about a year and half, but after using Seesmic for only about 2 hours now, it’s growing on me. I’m not sure how it will fair against Twitter’s new conquest of 3rd party API software, but for the moment it seems to provide enough social integration to survive even if Twitter were to pull the plug. One feature I do not see or have not discovered yet, is the ability to update Facebook pages. Let me know if you see it.
