7 Days of Procrastination

7 Days

We all have the same 7 Days…

“I can definitely do what I need to do on Sunday. It’s the beginning of the week. What better day than Sunday?! Well, definitely after church, lunch, dinner, Netflix, and after the kids are asleep. Yawn… maybe tomorrow.

Well, I didn’t do what I needed to do on Sunday, but today is Monday. I’ll do it on Monday.
How can this be? The end of the day snuck up on me. Good thing tomorrow is Tuesday. I’ll do what I need to do on Tuesday.

My goodness, I had so many other things to do that I never got around to doing the thing I needed to do. I guess I’ll have to do it on Wednesday. Wednesday is the middle of the week. I can do it then.

Wednesday was a long day. So many cranky people. I’m sleepy. I’m of no use when I’m sleepy. Let’s try for Thursday. It’ll definitely happen on Thursday.

Who would have known that I would have had so many unrelated things pop up. People talking to me, asking questions, taking up my valuable time. Sigh… I guess I’ll do what I need to do on Friday.

It’s Friday! Everyone is looking forward to lunch and the weekend, but alas that one co-worker waited until the last minute to ask for what he needed by the end of the day. I still haven’t done that thing I needed to do. It’s late. It’s Friday night. I’m going to bed.

Saturday! No work. I have the day to myself. I can finally do that thing that I need to do. But first, let me sleep in. I’ve worked so hard this week. What! I’ve slept almost half the day away. I’m cooking dinner for the family and need to go shopping, clean the grill, and mow my lawn. It’s now late, I’m full, and I’m tired. I still haven’t done that thing I’ve needed to do.

Alas, there’s always Sunday.
